Dagestan Tur

(Capra cylindricornis)

The Dagestan tur hunt will be arranged in Azerbaijan in the Quba area and the Seki area. These areas have a very good population of Dagestan tur which is known for its very thick horns as a result of the crossing between sheep and mountain goat.

The hunt is done by stalking in mountainous area at altitude 8 000-10 000ft and it demands good physical condition from the hunter. There is also possibility to use horses to move in terrain. The average trophy size is 32- 35”.

Each hunter has his own guide to disposal. The accommodation is in stone cabins or tents.

The hunting period is June/December. The trip will take 8 days, of which the hunt is 5 days.
